I'd wanted a dog for a few years, but my living situation prevented it. When I moved in to an apartment that allowed dogs, I was finally able to get one. I wanted a small dog, but it needed to be big enough that it could safely play with my husband's lab mix. I was pretty sure I wanted a mini schnauzer. We went to Homeward Pet to look at a schnauzer mix, but decided she probably wouldn't be a good fit for our family. I had seen Happy (known then as Nelson) on the website, so I decided to meet him. I fell in love with him, and our other dog got along well with him. We took him home, and nearly two year later I love him more than I thought I would.
