Although Maya was not rescued from a shelter, she was abandoned in an apartment after a family was evicted. No one knows how long she was there, but maintenance found her alone with no food and no water. After visiting countless shelters to find just the right puppy I came across her photo on craigslist. I drove to the apartment complex not really planning on bringing a puppy home but as soon as I saw her she cuddled up into my lap and she's been cuddling there every since. She has extreme separation anxiety but luckily I am able to take her to work with me. Maya and I have so many adventures, she's the silliest most playful dog I've ever encountered. She is an unknown breed and everywhere we go together people stop to ask me about her. She has one blue eye and one brown eye and very big ears. Never again will I purchase a dog from a pet store or breeder, after seeing how much love this rescue puppy has to give I want to adopt all the rescue pups!
