Beau, with his bright eyes, had me from the moment I saw him. I had waited a very long time to find my forever friend, and finally it had happened. Beau came from New Orleans, so I'm sure it was a long trip all the way up to Washington DC! Yet there on the streets of Chinatown he was cool as a cucumber, just sitting in the lap of a volunteer and letting folks pet him. All we know is that his previous owners gave him up for lack of housetraining (which he quickly showed me he was fully aware he needs to go outside) and that they clearly had a doorbell. Nothing makes him go bananas like a doorbell! His calm and loving demeanor made him perfect for city life. He loves meeting new friends, belly rubs, and is the best snuggle buddy anyone could ask for! I can't imagine my life without him.
