I had recently lost my other dog to heart problems. Feeling lonely, depressed, and that the house was too quiet I went to the shelter. I felt a tugging on my heart as I went in (like my angel above was guiding me) to go to the adult dog section not the puppies so I did. As I walked down the row of dogs there, Sylvester caught my eye because of his unique face markings. I walked over to his cage and he instantly rolled over for me to tickle his belly. I knew he was meant to be mine. Hubby wasn't quite as thrilled but said to get him anyway. (he even picked his name) He was found as a stray roaming the streets and the police took him to the shelter. He is now also a certified therapy dog, and breed ambassador. That was 7 years ago and I couldn't imagine my life without him.
