Our shelter dog, Phoebe, needed a companion, so we turned to PetFinder.com. We looked at dogs from rescue groups and shelters in our area, and decided on a puppy with funny-looking ears that seemed too big for her head. Her shelter was a few hours away, but they were having an adoption event in our area, so I contacted them. We brought our dog, Phoebe, with us to the adoption event so the whole family could meet her. She was a huge hit with everyone, including other people at the adoption event. My husband was standing in line to fill out the paperwork, and I was shooing everyone away from her, yelling, "She's taken!" to anyone who came near her in the adoption pen. Phoebe even chimed in with a bark or two herself. We brought her home and within days, she was even cuddling with our 2 cats. We've all been a very happy family for 10 wonderful years! And she grew nicely into those ears!
