Grizzly was just a puppy when I found his picture on PetFinder. He and all of 7 of his siblings were left at the tiny shelter 120 miles away, but something in his eyes screamed "that's my dog". I made the drive and picked up the 10 week old German Shepherd mix. From day one he became my "shadow", an instant best friend. DNA test later revealed he is a GSD and Chow mix, with legs like a horse. He came to work with me and made best friends with a wolf named Keyni, who is just a little older. The two still remain best buds today, but Grizzly is more than just my best friend. With his constant "wiggle butt" and sweet disposition, he is now on his way to becoming a certified therapy dog. He passed his Canine Good Citizen test with flying colors, and the next step is a two day class in Denver where he will even have to ride on the trains! When we go to work, children cling to him and he never stops smiling. He cannot wait to spread those smiles to people in need.
