5 years ago I moved out on my own and got a job working at the SPCA. I was training at the front desk of the shelter when I saw a volunteer walking in through the door with a little speckled dog. I fell in love that very second! Later that day I went back to his kennel and he was huddled in the very back shaking and scared. I sat at the end of his kennel, trying to get him to come to me, for 3 days. On the 3rd day he built up enough courage to come over to me and after petting him a few minutes he climbed in my lap and I knew I had to take him home that day. He started coming to work with me everyday and overcoming his fear of people! He's now made a complete 180 and is the most amazing, loving, fearless dog. All it takes is alittle love to turn a dog around!
