Emma formally known as "Noel" was a former Amish puppy mill mom dog from Ohio. Emma was left at Meigs Co Dog Shelter by the Amish Farmer very pregnant. The director from the shelter contacted Debbie from Open Arms Rescue of WNY to see if they would want help Emma and her unborn puppies. Debbie of course said yes and Emma was flown emergency flight via Pilots-N-Paws to Buffalo NY. Once she arrived in Buffalo she settled into her wonderful foster home, gave birth to 8 huge puppies (mommy Emma only weighs 16 lbs. as she is a Beagle/Boston Terrier. ) All of Emma's pups have found great homes and we adopted momma Emma. From living in a cage covered in urine to the soft beds in our house Emma has the life every dog should have. She is blessed to have 2 other "sister" rescue dogs who have all become inseparable. She is wonderful with our son who is 8 and everyone she comes in contact with! We adopted her in February 2014 and are grateful to have Emma in our lives!
