My family's newest member is an adorable Chug whom we adopted on April 26, 2014 from the Oceana County Animal Shelter. Originally we went in to meet a cute Jack Russell Terrier mix as we were looking for a playmate for our JRT (also a rescue/August 2012) Bowzer, who also was with us to help us choose the perfect pal. This little tyke was in a cage along with another dog. They were picked up together. The staff named him Barney, now known as Bowie. His chipper greeting towards us was taken in immediately to heart, and Bowzer was in agreement of our choice. Off we went back home. "The Boys", which also includes a feline "brother" (adopted in March of 2011), enjoy romping around the house, playing in the yard and taking walks with their human family members. Bowie is a delightful young adult dog and we are all very happy we adopted him from the Oceana County Animal Shelter where all the animals are neutered/spayed before adoption. Adopt/Rescue and Neuter/Spay!!
